Document Access & Permissions
Document access is determined by your role and matter-level restrictions.
Role-based access
| Role | Documents Access |
|---|---|
| Partner | Full access to all documents |
| Associate | Full access (upload, download, manage) |
| Support Staff | Full access (upload, download, manage) |
| Admin HR | No documents access |
| IT Admin | No documents access |
| Secretary | No documents access |
Matter-level restrictions
If a matter is marked as restricted, you can only see its documents if you are on that matter's access list. This applies everywhere: Documents page, search results, client pages, and AI assistant.
Filters
Use the filter bar to narrow documents by: Office, Department, Matter, or Category. Filters can be combined.
