Uploading Documents
Upload documents from three different locations depending on your workflow.
From the Documents page
Click New > Upload Files or drag and drop. Each file gets a metadata form: file name, matter, received date, category, and author. If you select a matter, the file goes into that matter's folder automatically.
From a Matter page
Open the matter, go to the Documents tab, and click Upload Document. Select a category and choose your file. It is automatically linked to that matter.
From a Client page
Open the client, click Upload Doc in the toolbar. Select which matter the document belongs to, choose a category, and upload.
Folder structure
Documents are organized as: Client > Matter. Each client has a folder, and each matter under that client has a subfolder. This structure is created automatically when matters are added.
Tips
- Drag and drop works on any page with a documents section
- You can upload multiple files at once — each gets its own metadata row
- Upload entire folders via New > Upload Folder
